The Vietnam Centre for Protection of Music Copyright, VCPMC, started its activities in 2002. VCPMC is a music copyright organisation, and has composers and lyricists as members. The first project Norcode supported was aiming to increase VCPMC´s income and expand the geographical area covered by adding new regions of Vietnam to VCPMS´s field of operation. By the end of 2011 both the number of members, collected income from licensing agreements and the amount distributed to rightsholders had had a substantial increase since the start of the project. New regions were also added as intended.
The new project is aming to strengthen VCPMC´s distribution to its members, by expanding and ensure the quality of the content of a Vietnamese music database and by developing VCPMC´s distribution routines and system.
