During Inger Dirdal’s visit to Tanzania last fall she met with the Daily News. In the interview she spoke about NORCODE's origins and their current training programme, “NORCODE Regional Training Programme on Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights”, conducted in Dar es Salaam in late 2017. She spoke about the reasons for organizing and conducting the training programme, as well as the status in Norway and the possibilities of growth as a result of an improved collection system. This three year programme for training, funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is set to move on to Asia and Central America before it returns to the African continent in 2019.
